in topsy-turvy times
the moral are maligned
their motives suspect
by those that disrespect
a narrative not drawn
by those that fawn
over wealth
before all else
and the rectitude of
those who rise above
the falsehood and lies
is questioned by the
spoon-fed masses who
refuse to take their heads
out of their asses
