the high road
a laudable choice
the view from there
must be spectacular
a gift exemplar
but some of us
must muck about in dirt
muddy our hems
and ruin our skirts
we must climb over fences
to reach the road at all
so before you call us names
and look down on us with disdain
remember from whence we all came
