no one begins expert
nor ends there neither
a journeyman
apprenticed for a time
to learn
so are we all
we glean, we try,
we fumble, we fall
we struggle, we rise
each day we craft anew
carve out or knit together
draw from what we did before
and hope to make this one
better and more
