I know nought
of matters matrimonial.
I've lived life thus far
simply individual,
but I'm not opposed to
the role uxorial
should I find a man
not adversarial
to the notion of
ending like Shakespeare
in a party nuptial -
after a discovering love
joyous and substantial,
but neither will I rush
headlong and headstrong
into situation detrimental,
lacking real potential,
for a false pictorial
of life paradisial.
I would rather
end monastical
and antisocial
than in relationship
apocalyptic, apologetic
and hypocritical.
