zephyr

wrapped in blankets
huddling and shivering
eyes squinched tight
conjuring sensations
a dream of summer
sun-baked skin
plated on a bed of grass
trussed by a bikini
a feast for
the languid eyes
of Central Park
exposed to the gaze
of joggers and tourists
daytrippers and picnickers
caressed by zephyrs
gentle and tender
instead of this frigid gale
groping and grasping
through layer after layer
