summer solstice sings
its incandescent incantation
in grasshopper stridulation
and stars its lower atmosphere
in lightening bugs celestial dance
sending lovers glance astray
to draw you in
with puckish grin
and languid from
the heat of day dissipating
anticipating sweet disarray
