ON HIATUS. It has been over five years of writing a daily poem and I needed a bit of a break. I'm not sure what the next step for this project will be. In the meantime, I am reviewing the poems written to compile into a new anthology. Thank you for joining me on this journey and enjoy the poetry.

avuncular
dressed in sky blue windbreaker
he dragged on a filterless cigarette
with avuncular aplomb
dispensing wisdom and disdain
in equal measure and we would
hang on every word and treasure
his curmudgeonly advice
repeated once, repeated twice
