gravamen
that you blame me
for not knowing you
for not seeing through
the lies you used to synthesize
the facade you built to self-aggrandize
and you demonized me
for believing your deceiving
as though the fault in me lay
for naively trusting the things you'd say
the gravamen of my grudge is this
you cannot chide a girl for falling
when you created the abyss
